I am using Azureus and it's nice and functional.
I was wondering what others are using.

I also use Azureus, have had a few problems with it but seems to be working fine now. I recommend it to anyone thinking downloading TV shows or movies or to those people thinking about changing programs.

I was using Azureus until a spyware screwed up the program mid-download. After several days to clean out my viruses and several uninstall/reinstalls all my downloads continued from where they left off.

Highly recommended.

I use the client built into Shareaza... it works really well and it's nice to have all of my downloads including my torrents and P2P from several systems packaged up into one program.

I usually use Bittornado and Azureus. Both work excellently.

This is a list of the best ones:

ABC: http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net
Azureus: http://azureus.sourceforge.net
BitComet: http://bitcomet.com
BitTornado: http://bittornado.com
G3: http://g3torrent.sourceforge.net
TorrentStorm: http://www.torrentstorm.com
*** Mac ***
http://www.sarwat.net/bittorrent

Bittornado is python scripts, I believe, so it should run on linux. Azureus, being written in Java, can easily run on Linux (or basically any other OS). I'm not sure about the others.

I'll try them.

I have had little success downloading programs. Maybe partly because my computer is in Korean? partly because I'm technologically almost illiterate.

I've tried Azureus and a gamut of them, but I have been settled on BitComet for six months now.

No hiding my ignorance here: What's the difference between downloading a torrent via shareaza and downloading via bit comet or any of the other programs listed above?

It's subtle features, how they handle downloading, if they can pick up the same seeds each time, how it's organized, the gracefulness of the interface, shortcut keys, how much control you have over your downloads...
