Hi,
Anyone heard of/used these guys before?
www.reena-recruit.com
Seems more my speed. The idea of babysitting a bunch of Korean gremlins scares me. |

I am working with them now, they are a small operation but they got me a great job so far. It's only been a week so I can't give you better details. I have what I would consider right now a great job with high pay. I could give you a better idea once I finish a month.
so far so good... |

Glad to hear it. Did you have teaching experience before? My background/degree is in business/accounting, but I want ot put my experience to use teaching business English to adults.
Thanks,
John |

I have both teaching experience and business experience, because of these two reasons they have placed me at my company now. At the current time it's only a 2 month contract. I will see after 2 months were things will lead. Message me (PM, aol, or yahoo) and let me know where they want you to go and I'll see if it's a company I know |

It's the same ownership group as Pagoda, so they definitely have a lot of experience. I was going to work for them briefly about 4 years ago, and they seemed okay. They were really disorganized though, so I found work elsewhere... |

Funny. They finally let Jabba out of jail. Maybe she'll keep it legit this time. |

You're a newbie aren't ya. They are one of the 3 big players in the business (illegal) teaching triangle.
ARC (Eric is the biggest slimeball in Korea)
Reena (You've already heard a little about Jabba)
SLP (coming on strong, they got my old Samsung job when I left. The pay is less than half what I made for new teachers. Guess where the rest goes now?)
All scummy.

I heard that too. It was on this board.
SLP also handles the stuff for KT. I applied for a FT job through them once, and got to talking to them about business stuff. They say they've been around for 10 years and never had a problem. I found that hard to believe.
Just so you guys know, these places often list their jobs as 30,000 to 40,000 won an hour and then proceed to take out about 3,000 won per hour "tax" payment. That is total and utter bullshit. They don't pay tax on illegal teaching, and are making a bundle off of you already. And they want to keep copies and records of your passport and payments, and make you sign every time you receive it. Guess what Immigration will find when they do raid those places..... |
