| Like most teachers here, my schedule is hectic. So hectic in fact that I am working 13 hours a day. I dont have time to make decent food and I am really sick of eating the ready made Kimbop from E-mart. Any suggestions as to healthy food that is easy to make, quick and dosent taste like crap?? |

| I do my shopping/cooking for the week on the weekends. Make huge pots of spaghetti sauce, cabbage rolls, stuffed green peppers, stews etc in my crock pot/slow cooker for example. Have great meals to come home to during the week. Along with eating lots of fruit, that fixed the lousy meals problem for me. |

| first of all -- don't work so many hours! it's not healthy. second, learn to like the korean food. eat at the cheap mom and pop places for 3-4,000 won. dwenjang, seullang tang, fish, pajang, etc are all healthy foods. the side dishes and tofu are also healthy. stock up on fruit and some other healthy snacks. make sandwiches at home for lunch if you get sick of eating out for lunch. |

| If you like Korean food in general, you can have hot meals delivered about as cheap as you can cook for yourself. For those days when you really want something different, invest in a crockpot. Mine regularly gets used to make chili, Cuban black beans, minestrone, curried chicken, chowders and the like. Just run a Google search on crock pot recipes ... |

soup soup soup soup
healthy, nutricious and deliscous
an endless variation of types.
A thermos will keep it hot for hours.
A small pot and a one burner will heat it up whenever you want.
Right now I am in the middle of a batch of sumptious turkey and wild rice soup. MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm |

any clues on how i can get menus and phone numbers to do this? i would love to start ordering in, but so far i have only managed to come across menus for local pizza and chinese places. tasty, but not so healthy i'd want to do that all the time.
i have looked around my neighborhood (haebangchon) but have not had any luck figuring out which places deliver (if any).
if you have any advice on discovering these elusive delivery wondershops, i would be much obliged |

do you not get any sticky advertising on your apartment door, or front door of your building????
man!, every time i come home, there's a fresh camouflage'o'food ads on my door. drives me batty sometimes.
any restaurant that posts a menu on your door will deliver to you.
on a side note:
asking for delivery...

i get only pizza adverts, and few and far between. i live a little off the beaten path, but i do see delivery mopeds zipping up my street every night.
but yeah, no love from the deliverers. i lucked out and found two chinese take-out menus in my apartment from the previous occupant, but that's it. |

If the local restaurants aren't wallpapering your door with ads, just go into any restaurant in your neighborhood and ask them if they deliver (ϼ?/bay-dahl haseyo?). If they say yes, just ask them for a menu (ī ƼĿ ּ/takeout menu sticker juseyo). Pretty much anyplace that delivers will have their menu in sticker form with their phone number on it. From there, just call and order. Korean takeout rocks, you might never cook again. |
