but don't have it yet.

Because of my uni's rules, I only get my diploma about 8 months from now; even though I just finished my degree.

Am I still able to get a job in Korea? Will a form saying "degree requirements completed" be enough?

Thank you all for your time.

sorry...rules say that they're going to either need the actual thing or a notarized copy. What lazy uni's are these that take 8 months to print a diploma anyways?

Other people have had this problem too, and I think someone may have gotten around it by getting a transcript and something official looking from the uni. be upfront with the recruiter and either you'll get the blue paper meaning you can have a visa, or you won't. You'll know this before you come over here etc.

Daejeon Immi. said no letter, original degree only. Print one up. It's not exactly faking if you did actually graduate, is it?

A friend of mine graduated from Kyunghee Univ in Seoul and they didn't even have proper grad certs for his MA, just a pathetic looking transcript. So, what did he do? He typed one up on his computer, took it to school and got his profs to sign it. They did.

A lot of universities in Canada and Australia don't release degree certificates right away.

Often students wait 4 - 6 months to receive their degree.

You're Australian, aren't you? If so, you should know all about 'lazy uni's!'

OP - I requested to have my degree released early. I had to get my new employer to send the university an e-mail verifying that I needed the degree for a job offer.

Try going that route.

PS

IT seems to me that that is what someone here once did - they made their own degree after they graduated. They couldn't / didn't want to wait month and months to receive the degree.

So they just made one up that looked official.

You know, even if the immigration office contacts your university (which I'm very sure they will not), you are on record as having graduated.

Who cares what the degree actually looks like or even if it's a photocopy or one you had made at Kinkos!
