i am not from north america, and since there is no information on this site about them, i was wondering exactly what they are?
how can something that is 'krispy' be 'kreme' also? |

| Krispy Kremes are, without a doubt, the best doghnuts in the world. But you must get the original ones, those with a suger glaze, hence the name Krispy, for the way the suger on top of the doghnut is and Kreme for the way it melts in your mouth. Krispy Kreme is not Konglish for you non-americans, the company is from the American south, so it is redneckish. |

Sorry to have to do this, but I disagree. There is a great small donut store chain in the midwest called Lamars. They make Krispy Kremes taste like lighter fluid. And yes, I have tasted lighter fluid, so I know this is true.

No...
EXACTLY like.
I think those yellow and brown colors have some weird effect on some people's psyches or something, cuz I really can't see a breath of difference between that place and any other ol' donut shop other than the color scheme... (Gotta admit, the blinding white of a Dunkin' Donuts is a little harsh for me).
I'm gonna find out what one of these Crispy Creamy donuts is like, so I can ignore this hype once and for all... Of course, they could live up to the hype, in which case I'll have another addiction to add to the list. |

Stopped by today...fair-sized crowd in attendance.
A plus was that they handed out a freshly-made doughnut to each person in line.
It was just like I had heard -- the doughnut literally melts in your mouth, which is of course quite different from a Dunkin' Donuts offering. |
