Looks like an OK lineup I might have to do that one. Anyone else have the dope on what's going down on New Years? I as I suppose many of you folks also have a whole 4 days of work over that period so I can get up to all sorts of mischief.
3 day Xmas and 4 days for New years. You knows it! |

well paul van dyk drew like 600..
sasha drew like 1000 they try to say 2500 but thats a dream.. I was there,
this was all back in 99-2000-2001 mind you..
ferry corsten, amin van buuren drew about 600 each..
EDM is just not big enough here.. due to lack of drugs and freaks that come out of the wood work.. its a very small scene...
so 10.000 people for PETE TONG???
which I bet most koreans have never even heard of...
will draw 10.000 people??? ummmm NO!
im thinking 700-1000 thats the norm..
even tiesto if he came here wouldnt get 10.000
10.000 people is aLOT of people man!
even great artists of the world are lucky to pack a room with 10.000 people.. |

Carl Cox got a full house last year. Don't know how many (too drunk to count!) Maybe 3000.
Remember the New Years Eve factor. It gets people out on the town. |

3000???? dude.. naa man.. if there was 3000 you wouldnt of been able to move.. when I saw derrick may and armin in the same event hall as carl cox.. there was like 1000 and that was packed.. so 3000 would have been
OH MY GOD...PACKED.. sardines in a can man..
still possible becuase that event hall can hold 2500 people.. so its possible it was full.. |

Really?
Where did you hear or see that? I needs the confirmation, as we were thinking of going to the thing at the Sheraton instead... This might change my mind... |

a new party production company, Riskei, presents "New Year's Eve Extravaganza" at the W Seoul Walkerhill Hotel in eastern Seoul. The party will take place in the hotel's two venues, Woo Bar on the first floor and Wet, the outdoor swimming pool and garden, on the third floor.
To funk up the party mood, six internationally acclaimed DJs will be spinning progressive and deep funky house music.... the Wet area will have an array of dance music spun by DJ Swirl People from Sweden, DJ Gomi from New York City and DJ Olivier Desmet from San Francisco... A ticket, which includes one free drink, costs 70,000 won at the door, 60,000 won when purchased in advance. For inquiries, contact Riskei Party Production at 02-544-0682 or visit its Web site www.riskei.co.kr

(Scope the website, it's pretty decent...)
My bro wants to go cuz one of the acts(Eastcoast Boogiemen?) is a turntablism duo, which is his thing... He's more into most of the stuff playing at that party than Pete Tong's stuff... Still it sounds a bit more "rich people"-ish... I'd prefer the Tong party with its (supposed) 10,000 people and free drinkage, I think, but I also wanna spend New Year's with familiars, so.... I dunno. |
