Inherited an apartment with plenty of lovely mold in it.. What's the way to kill it and clean it? I'm thinking bleach.

Definatly go with the bleach. Straight bleach on a sponge will kill just about anything. It will also destroy the river that the your pipes drain into, but since this is Korea, it is likely that your local river is already dead, so go nuts.

Soju will kill anything. I run my scooter on it.

Swimming pool cloride gets it for six months or longer. Don't forget ventilation.

if you put the bleach in one of those little W1000spray bottles used for misting plants or misting for ironing clothes.......then spray the wall.
yah, keep on guard against that mold. it starts in the bathroom, i figure. at least one variety of it. and once it 'takes over' everything made of leather, like belts, shoes, jackets, will be 'moldified' and dusty with spores or whatever the hell that mold is up too. aghhhhhh!
check out those little plastic tubs in the supermarket. one brand has a pink hippo sucking on a straw from a drink of water. there is a powder in there that sucks the humidity in on a one-way trip. kind of like a roach motel for humidity. the tub will fill with water. if you're easily amused, it's amazing it's the humidity which fuels the mold. they're like 'evil twins'.

Seriously, if you can find (good luck) a non-toxic alternative, all the better. Just because Korea's rivers are polluted, doesn't mean you have to add to it.

It's not really the best choice. Besides...remember God is always watching you.

Since my dumbass can't read Korean or figure it out on my own, do I remove the silver foil and leave the white paper on top of the Pink Hippo container? Or does the paper get removed too?

foil removed paper stays it forms a one way barrier...water goes in but it doesnt check out.

If you have mold on your wallpaper a 30% solution of bleach is more effective than straight bleach as the diluted form permeates the paper better and gets the spores inside and behind the paper.

Back home, I would invite my mother and her sisters to visit my city and stay in my apartment for a few days. They are a four-woman team that cleans, does laundry, installs wallpaper and curtains, and calls the plumbers and electricians to fix things I've neglected. I don't know if they'd come to visit me in Korea though.
