| So I'm back home for my yearly say hi to the folks and shopathon. Must say I love going into shops and finding that I've dropped another dress size in the last ten months without really trying that hard. Ahsa! |

my weight goes up and down.. I pretty much stay around 71 - 74 never topped that... due to drinking and over work just being tired..
I usually lose weight when im in NEw zealand.. there I sit around 70kg
becuase I eat better food at home.. here.. I eat junk.
pizza, fried chicken, BREAD BREAD BREAD.. every now and then I will eat some fried rice or something low in fat.. but becuase I only eat once or twice a day I dont gain weight by food.. its more not buring off the beer or junk food I eat. so Im up and down 2 or 3 kilos at times.. |

| Don't know how much weight I've lost because I don't have any scales. BUT, I have lost 7 cm from my waist line. |

| I think I eat better in Korea than I do in New Zealand. Just had lamb bbq for dinner back in Korea it would have been toast. Perhaps just so much more food in New Zealand to eat. I went to the mall today and in the food court they had a japanese, thai/malaysain, curry, greek, chinese place all in a row. I did a happy dance right then and there! |

| I've gained 10 pounds due to not training so hard, being overworked and eating comfort foods.......... I dread to think how much muscle has gone to fat too........... :$ |

| The day I landed in Korea I vowed I would lose weight. I lost 32 lbs in 9 weeks, but since than I've gained mostly all if not all of it back in 2 months. I'm living off the comfort foods of pizza and ice-cream. Anyone ever try getting a weight watchers group together on here or something? haha I would definitely join. |

| I have dropped 4 dress sizes here--part of that though is that the two months prior to leaving I was in crazy prep mode and ate nothing but pur crap for my 2 meals a day and didn't get out an about to excercise. Not complaining though, I got a wedding to be in, in October and don't mind shedding some weight for it. |

I lost an unfortunate amount of weight my first year here - when I went home, my mom almost cried when she saw me, and spent the whole time I was home STUFFING food down my throat. It took her a LONG time to stop emailling me or calling me every day to enquire about my meals
It was due to a couple of things...first, I HATE, I mean absolutely DETEST Korean food. That, and my work schedule was basically 9:30 - 7:30 through the week, which meant by the time I got home at 8pm, I was just too exhausted to actually cook anything, and would just make something simple (like...a sandwich) and flop for the night. Lunch options were slim around my school, so most days if I had time I would pack a lunch....which again meant a sandwich
BUT, this year my school schedule has changed, home earlier so lots of time to cook real meals. Plus, there are more big chain grocery stores around (E Mart, Carrefour, etc) and so I find it so much less out of my way to get the food I need to survive.
And none of my pants fit me anymore |

That's the problem with living around Seoul...too many Western chains around you. I was doing okay in Chungbuk province last year...but this year in Anyang...I'm always heading to Starbucks (I know...the House of Evil ) but I can't resist those Frappucinos. My weight has always been at a plateau...it's very hard for me to lose weight even with diet/exercise but I also find I don't gain weight, no matter how many Frappacinos I drink. I can fit into Korean clothes so that's how I gauge if I'm okay. But still the crap I eat is not doing my heart any good. |

I came to Korea 4 years ago and put on about 5 kilos within 2 months!!! I love Korean food......
Since then I've been hovering around 79-80kgs. I should be 75kg. Not enough a discrepency to worry about I'd say. |

Ha ha Did you also see the Koreans running the little dairy/snack/cigarette shop thing in the middle of downstairs? and the Korean couple with the candyfloss trolley at the top of the escalator by the cinema? and the Koreans running the NZ Natural ice cream shop upstairs? |
