All 24 pages have something on them.
A problem? Still got over a year left on it.
Do they just add pages? |

| Unless you need a blank page to devote to a full page visa insert, I think each page can accept multiple stamps. My ex GF from Hong Kong who travelled a lot had a pretty full passport. I think my last passport had some pages stamped twice. |

I'm in the same situation. Depending on how much travelling you do, you can probably get by for the year with whatever customs people you deal with squeezing in their stamps in the margins of already marked pages. Your passport isn't in chronological order and provided there's room for their stamp somewhere on the page, there's no problem. Bigger problems come when you're getting one of those full-page stamps like a Korean work visa or Lao entry visa, and there's nowhere to put it. In that case, you'll need a new passport.
The Canadian government will *not* give you new pages. When I got my current passport in 2001 I didn't dream I'd fill up all 24 pages. Now I'm regretting not getting the 48 page one, which was only a few dollars more. I'll have to pay out quite a bit of money for a whole new passport. |

Mine was full with over a year left and I had to get a new one in Seoul. It cost 140 000 won and took 2 weeks. I was coming to work in Thailand so needed the full page. To make matters worse I don't have a clue where my birth certificate is so they could only issue me a 1 year passport that I have to extend (more $) when I do receive my birth certificate. Just a note, the last time I ordered a new birth certificate in Ontario it took a day. This time, it was ordered in August and still no sign. They are saying it is because of new security measures but what the hell are they doing for almost 5 months, interviewing my grade school teachers?
Ok, I'll stop going off topic in the general discussion form. |

I had to get a new one last month for the same reason as Jaj. A 48 page passport cost me an incredible extra 5000 won.
I guess I have to go to immigration now to transfer my work visa. |

You know, it only took me a week to get my new passport.
Yeah, from THAT Canadian government.
I was shocked as well. |

| Has anyone ever gotten a machine readable passport from the Canadians outside the country? Just curious. My daughter's on her 2nd one, both optained outside Canada, and neither have been machine readable. Makes little difference except it slows down processing at airport immigration lineups. |

Rats!
Looks like I'll need a new one for the E2. I didn't even know there were 48-page ones. |
