I have recently moved to Gangnam and there is a definite lack of supermarkets. Is there a Carrfoure near there? Walmart?

there is a walmart somewhere near COEX. i don't know exactly where but i do know it's about a 3000 won cab ride from gangnam station or its environs.

Yeah. There's a Walmart 500m from me in Daechi-dong. Their website will give you the map.

No Carrefore ( as far as I know), however like the other posters stated there is a Walmart, in Daechi Dong (not very good), I also have visited Emart on the outskirts at Suseo Interchange, LG Mart in Karak Dong(in Songpa Gu but best of the lot in my humble opinion) Hanaro Mart (Yangae, not in Gangnam but close enough), and COSTCO on Yangae Road, don't know which Dong sorry.

the Walmart in Daechi is about five or ten minutes walk up the hill from Seollung Station on the #2 if memory serves.

I cant remember which exit, but it's hard to miss.
