A few files I've been downloading have stopped at 95%, 98% and even 99.78%!!!!

I've been patient to get those last couple of megs but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'd like to just view what I have. I'm sure in most cases I'm missing no more than the end credits.

Anyone know how to do this?

You can go into the temp directory and copy the corresponding temp file to another location, then rename it. In some cases, it'll work, depending on which kind of file it is.

However, if you're missing the beginning of the file, you're screwed.

There is no tutorial in there, I just realized.

1) put a copy of "oldpart.exe" in the same folder as the .part files.
2) open a command prompt "C:\"
3) type the location of the folder, followed by "oldpart", common initial part number and the total byte size (avaliable by right clicking the file in question within the Edonkey GUI and select "more info")
Ex: C:\foldername\oldpart 1 702064116

the "1" tells the program that the .part files will follow 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc...
"702064116" is just for example...this is the total byte size. It will change for each file.

5) Let the program run.

- You will need to go into the folder with all of the .part files and look for the final output file. Should be easy to see, as it will have the same name as the folder it's in and the file size. When you find it, right click, select "rename" and change the file name and extention to match what it was on Edonkey.

This procedure usually only works for video and audio files. It will not replace or fill in missing .part files. Having one or more missing .part files may make the final output file unusable, as at the point where the missing .part files comes along, it may stop or at least skip.

This program is useful for previewing large downloads to check authenticity of the file. It is usually only useful after you have at least .part files 1 through say 20. If you don't have .part file 1, it may not help.

im sure you have already done this..
but incase you havent..

switch it to highest priority.. and make sure you are logged onto RAZORBACK server which is usually the biggest.. so make sure you are on the biggest.. pause all the other files you have,, and leave it on for a couple days non stop.. make sure there are people sharing it too..
just need to wait for them to log on...

I have been stuck at 99% sometimes for weeks.. but finally it comes..
only once or twice I gave up after like 6 months hahahahah
