right, that might help, eh?
it's in itaewon. if you were walking along the main drag there, away from the hamilton hotel toward pizza hut. it's up one the alleys (not the one chaakra is up, i think it's the next one). sorry i can't be more specific. oh yeah, it's in a basement. |

Don't you think that Bar Nanna's "charity night" reeks of profiteering? I'd like to know why they haven't donated the proceeds from, say their New Year's Eve party, instead of waiting until now to stage a function which costs an absolute fortune for entry (20,000 KRW). And how do we know that they'll donate all the profits? Full credit for the gesture, but there needs to be more transparency in the process. |

I thought that was next weekend. In fact, I'm 99% sure it is. Was hanging out with one of the guys who'll be playing there next week.
Debating whether to go or not. Probably will, since friends will be playing. There's 5 DJs, couple of bands (not sure what kind of music), dunno what else offhand. |

Worthy cause, good for them, good for everyone who donates.
With the obligatory niceties out of the way, bar nanna? If it's the one I'm thinking of, and I'm almost positive it is, that place is pretty rinky-dink (a band would take up half the bar, it seems) and, sorry if you're a regular, but ... well, malodorous. One of the strip's better assortments of freakiest waygooks, to be sure, if that's what cranks your internal mechanism.
Saw a poetry reading and some unintentionally sad comedy sketches there once. Would have stayed for another drink, but my date -- a bit of a hygiene freak -- was put off by the lipstick on her glass and something moist in the seat cushion, and she absolutely refused to use the facilities there, so we had to scramble. |
