Vegas.

I'm so not kidding.

Me, Elvis and the poor sucker. Smile

And some of our friends.

The Korean wedding hall weddings I have been to are so Las Vegas (only with hundreds of Koreans present).

Its great kitsch, and weddings are so kitschy anyway, so why not? From the white gown (princess for a day- and a virgin again, at that!) to the flower girls, attendants, etc. I actually like Korean weddings, because they pull out all of the kitsch and almost make parody of it.

Dude, white guys in full han bok regalia just don't look quite right.

Monkey suit or Mickey Mouse hat?
For me it was 6 of one, a half dozen of the other.
The bonus of the trad ceremony as far as I was concerned is that they ply you with booze during the ceremony itself, and there's so much else going on (attendants, bowing, chickens flapping around, farmer dancers, live musicians, etc.) on that no one really pays too much attention to the groom... Cool

We didn't have to recite any vows, just bow a lot and drink booze. the first words spoken between my wife and I- as officially husband and wife- were "I think I'm pretty drunk right now" and "Me too." Laughing

Anyway, we did a 'Western' ceremony in my hometown as well, so it ended up being Mickey Mouse hat and Monkey suit.

just wanted to let people know that i got my way and i'm having my outdoor ceremony. it's at children's grand park. i'm pretty excited. the place that does the weddings there is pretty good and everything seems pretty affordable. now i'm just crossing my fingers for good weather. later, I'll post the website of the wedding place in case anyone else is planning an outdoor wedding.
