Did anyone know that James Joyce, the celebrated Irish author and one of the greatest talents to ever pick up a pen was also at one time .... an ESL teacher!!

Anybody know any other famous ESL teachers ?

I guess some of the early explorers were also famous ESL teachers by necessity.

well, the teacher known as "the playboy" is kinda famous.

JK Rowling (the woman who wrote the Harry Potter books) taught ESL in Portugual I think.

Huh? The Konkuk thing didn't change anything. Save for some universities checking up on their current teachers.

Really? If I ever see my old roommate (claimed to be a descendant, had Joyce surname), I'll quiz him that one.

It's true.

I believe that's how he made his living in Trieste, Italy while writing Ulysses.

Need to look that one up though.
