I dunno about people...but I knew of a dog that was teaching English in Korea for awhile. He was black too...that was the amazing thing about it.

Did anyone know that James Joyce, the celebrated Irish author and one of the greatest talents to ever pick up a pen was also at one time .... an ESL teacher!!
Anybody know any other famous ESL teachers ? |
Samuel Beckett was teaching English to the French... or was it French to the English...? Maybe both. Eitherway he boned Joyce's daughter and then dumped her good. Not very nice; but really stuck it to Joyce, which is cool. |

I've heard of that dog. Though whenever I ask someone about him they don't know who I'm talking about. |

According to his IMDB bio:

| Did not graduate from The University of Texas at Austin. He is 2 courses (he has said Math and Spanish in an interview) shy of a degree. |

Actually, it's not in his actual bio, per se, but it's on the same page. Look down to Trivia, 2nd paragraph. |

I was actually curious if his bio said anything about which city he worked in, or if he talked more about his experiences over here.
I couldn't find anything, however, I found the degree comment and thought it was amusing, in light of all the crap going on about english teacher credibility, these days. |
