Sorry, Mody Ba, I am beginning to see the err of my ways. Up till now, I have never thought or viewed "big brother" as someone there to help me. Rather, I relied on my own self to navigate my relationships with others, especially in other countries. Now, I am starting to understand why you get so upset with your life here, as you expect your relationships to be based on legal requirements instead of personal relationships.
Please understand that the concept of relying on legal remedies is quite foreign to me. I prefer to seek out professional associations with people based out of mutual benefit. If I can not help them, I certainly do not wish to legally bend their arm into submission. The entire idea of forcing others to pay for something that they do not wish to pay for seems rather odd, at least to me.
How does a person knowingly deceive you, if you know they are attempting to deceive you? Does it not require you to enter into a "deal" for the deception to be realized? Therefore, are not you responsible for your own actions?
Sorry, I forgot, you expect the legal system to protect those that can not figure it out on their own.
Again, I can not help but question why I make you feel so inferior and threatened to where you feel the need to make personal attacks. If what you say is in fact true, then a reasoned population will eventually agree with you. However, if what you say is thought to be false, people will question you until they are satisfied. Making odious remarks only detracts from your assertions, but that might be what you are trying to do.
You might as well get a few potshots in, while you are going down in flames.

To the previous poster:
Why is that job description a lie to you? Isn't that one of the main goals of the entire program? How do your duties differ from the ones stated in the job description?[/quote] |

Doughboy, the word you were fumbling for is "error"."Err" is a verb meaning"to make an error."
Going down in flames?Who,me?Not really,Doughboy. As a matter of fact, they just told me I am "one of the best teachers EPIK has" Of course,I take that with a very large grain of salt. And maybe they were not complimenting me.Maybe that was actually an insult. Considering EPIK and all of that.
Doughboy,I feel that I must echo Moseley's words...WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? We have heard about your mantra, your cooking proclivities, your obsession with fruit(apples, kumquats, guavas, etc.)
As to answer Schwa's question as to why some of us still are staying....Personally,I am just waiting until the contractis up.If i return to the US early,i would have to pay taxes on my foreign income. So there is a very good and simple answer to that question. |

| "This is English language, not a grammar forum."Indeed! LOL. That is a good one, but still a far cry from this gem from a Gr. 12 Canadian high school student:"If it wasn't for Roger's bacon, I wouldn't know what peotry was." Schwa: As someone who has almost certainly held more "real jobs" than you ever will, I will state unequivocally that sometimes you CAN and MUST "tell your boss what to do"(or where to stuff it, as it may be). It's one thing to be accommodating and subservient; it's quite another to say '' it's a BLT sandwich" when in fact a festering t*** has been served to you. I never would say that-that would mean I was a doormat/toady and/or someone who thinks comparisons are "useless". That brings us to SCSA. Imagine him crawling through the desert, dying of thirst. Suddenly, he comes across a bottle of ice-cold Coca-Cola! Right beside it is a cup of warm p***. In SCSA's "logic", he might as well drink the latter. Why compare the two??!! |

I'm still alive down under, or kind of alive. Seems I've been dug up in Korea but.
I still watch things in Korea. It's so good here in Australia that I might even end up back in Korea in time for Dear Leaders visit. |
