Have it stated that your last payment will be made in your home currency.
Not sure how much the won would be worth at that point.

At that point, my house would be worth less than an airplane ticket. One-way. In Economy, no less!
But of course, this is all so very conjectural, theoretical and hypothetical. We all know there would be no airport left at that point. Just ask Swiss James. He'll tell you. |

Goes on to say that days worked up to said date, pro-rata severance pay and fixed amount of XXX, XXX won towards plane ticket will be paid.
Don't you all have this included? |
Right. Some things are so obvious that I can't believe they are in contracts. If I'm in SK, and NK attacks, I'm really no longer concerned what the hell my contract says. I'm on the first plane, boat or amphibious military unit that I can find.

It's not the commies you need to worry about. It's their nuclear warheads and mustard gas and sarin and ... |

I didn't actually think this looks like the work of a hakwon owner, I mean, if Kim Jeong-il's commie hoardes come crashing through the DMZ with their AK's and gnarled indocrinated faces, the last thing anyone is going to be able to do is ensure the teacher gets home okay with everything he is owed. Every man for himself~!
You might as well negotiate to be taken home in the event of war in a private jet with Jeon, Ji-hyun frollocking with you in a champagne jakuzzi for what good it's going to do you.
Rather I think this has remained in the contract, but was originally the work of some paranoid teacher-come-wannabe lawyer, who was negotiating his contract.
"yyy..yeah, but, WHAT IF THERE'S A WAR??"
"You want that in your contract sonny-jim? There you go, happy now?... what's that? you want . . . . " |

I can assure you that in the event of an N.K. attack I won't be heading for the Labor Board office to claim my prorata severance pay in any currency, I just thought this clause was kind of cute.
If you were all so sure of getting nuked and mustard-gassed then I really doubt you'd be here in the first place. I sure wouldn't. |
