Do a google search for vcdgear. Download the program, it allows you to convert the bin files to mpeg files so you can watch them. That's what I do anyways. But it doesn't work 100% of the time, not sure why.

BIN files when accompanied by CUE files make an exact backup set of a disk volume such as a harddrive or original CD install set.

If you download BINs, always make sure to get the CUE sheet with the same name as it contains instructions on how to extract the information in the BIN file.

If you are interested, I will post the code from a CUE file so that you can make your own CUE sheets.

You may continue extracting your BINs into MPEG format as you suggested, however, not all BINs are movie files so this won't always work for you. Extracting the file properly with the CUE sheet will give you 100% accuracy in the file writing process, all of the time.
