This one is hard to explain but please bear with me!
So I have been finally offered a University job. This has required to leave my current job at a hogwan early. The boss is cool with that and has given me a LOR. The University is cool with that adn has been to Immigration and has go my my blue paper for another visa.
The problem is that the University wants me to go to Japan to get my visa before I start working. My last day at the hogwan is 25th of February, however the only the time I can go to Japan is on the 22nd of February.
When I am at the airport, should I hand in my ARC and get my current E-2 visa cancelled, or will the Korean Consulate automatically cancel it and issue me a new one?
Any help would be appreciated. |

I had a similar thing last year when i had a bit of an overlap on my visas. I just gave my ARC card in at the airport. They kept wanting to give it back though. Get a korean to ring up immigration just double check though. |

handing in your arc has nothing to do with cancelling your visa. your visa is cancelled when you received that blue paper.
so yes, since you have been released from your E2, you wil be asked to hand in your arc when you leave the country. |

Wait!!! You're CHANGING jobs, right? I didn't have to leave to get a new visa. Check it out with immigration first. If you have a LOR you should be able to do a "change of work place" instead of a full visa run. |
