Actually on reflection my son has a six syllable name when spelt out in Hangul, five when said in English. We also added a korean middle name on his NZ passport, something we couldn't do apparently in Korea.

Hmm... the sentiment many Asians feel living in America (maybe in Canada too?). I still get asked stupid foreigner questions. And I'm an American citizen for *beep*'s sake. Rolling Eyes

Not quite.. he was Russian (Denis Laktionov) and he played for Seongnam, so he became Lee Song-nam. The guy at Incheon (Manic Radivoje) never went through with naturalising.

Then again there's a Croatian defender called Jasenko Sabitovic who took citizenship recently and his passport name is "Sabitovic"





(FAO mods, these documents were posted on the official Seongnam website so I guess he gave his permission for them to be posted on the internet..)

You really think that? My university publishes our home addresses and phone numbers in the student guide. Mine wasn't published the next year when I voiced my concerns.
