If he used that expression and addressed the whole staff he was almost certainly the highest ranking person in the room at the time.
As others have stated, Korean CEOs have the perogative, and take great satisfaction, in addressing their staff like children. |

Shaving and tucking your shirt in is 'very formal'? |
I work in software so we don't need to look smart, plus he's not really my boss- or in fact the direct boss of any of the other guys he tells what to do or says "sugo hae" too.
As for the arm wrestle- I walked all over him- one week later he'd transferred to another department.
