I posted this elsewhere, but I think this forum might be more appropriate.
SO I'm a daddy. . .hooray for me! Am wondering if any of you who have gone through this process can tell me how to get my daughter registered in my passport? We're planning on going to Canada in July. .. I spent a couple of hours looking over the Canadian embassy website, but didn't find this specific info. Did I miss it?
Thanks |

Is your wife Korean? If she is it might be easier for the baby to be on your wifes passport. That's what we did. We went to Canada around 6 months after she was born and hadn't recieved her canadian citizenship yet. I was also told that it would take a long time to get a childs passport.
It is probably best for you to call them or go in person and visit. |

I suppose I should have mentioned that my wife is Korean. I thought children didn't get their own passport, they had to be registered in a parent's? |

Canadians get a passport for their children, at least that was how I understood it when I inquired. I also thought kids couldn't get a seperate passport until they were 16. Hmmm... could be an overseas thing. |
