Haha, you upset Drakoi, he's shouting in capital letters.
AND YOU'VE UPSET ME, BECAUSE, in Japan, the mall guard quickly said no pictures. It was a big, pink, inflatable rocket (three stories high) and there happened to be a woman in mini and boots before it (they were always getting in the way, those girls).

I was able to get away with it at Home Plus and post the video on my web site. But I was discreet about it.

I always get the thing about it being private property in the U.S., but these places are taking up all the public spaces and are using the public resources (a.k.a., the Commons) to make their money. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the incident where a guy was arrested in an upstate New York mall for wearing an anti-war shirt.

Ah geez -- I'm not in the mood to get into this debate now. Rolling Eyes

I'm not pissed at him, I'm pissed at the mods who don't know how to do their job.

store ppl hate having pics taken.
in my hometown there's a number of stores that i'd like to take pics of cuz they have interesting stuff. at one place they were so nervous about it, and these were the owners who i'd developed a friendship with Confused

i'm guessing they think:
a- you're with some TV expose/you're trying to get some dirt on them
b- that you're a competitor trying to steal their ideas
or c- going off a, that you are there to take pics of illegal merchandise and turn it into the cops.

i got told 'no pics' this past summer when i was in dongdaemun. i guess the lady didn't want the pics of her fake coach sandals plastered on the net Confused

That happened to me near Ewha, where I was outside the store taking a picture of the store's window display. It's the one with one female mannequin squatting over a squat toilet and two female mannequins standing in front of urinals as if they were men. Somehow that deals with the fashion in the store.

Anyway, an employee walked out and told me not to take pictures. I smiled, said ok, then finished taking my pictures.

As I see it:
1) if you don't want people taking pictures of your store, don't have female mannequins emptying their bowels like men in the store window
2) if I really didn't take pictures then, I would have had to come back after the store closed to take the pictures, and that would just waste more time of mine.

If it is in public view from a public sidewalk, the law (in the U.S., at least) says it is fair game to take pictures of it.

I always thought this was one thing men and women had in common but it seems I was wrong. Do girls go to the doctors once a week to have it all raked out or something?
