i was able to copy most of my important documents onto my mp3 player. and yes, some of the options did occur to me. oh damn, i actually just figured out how to save all my links as an html file...ok now i feel dumb, espeically since i graduated in MIS. ok this makes me more comfortable now that i have access to all my saved links.
as for the gift...my friend told me to bring her grandma a big jar of Vaseline and some Costco beef jerkey. i didnt ask why, i just bought them for her.
im debating whether to take my hard drive with me or not. i know its pretty easy to do, especially since i have a 250gb backup that stores all my music, videos, documents, etc...i guess ill decide in a few hours when i leave. time to get a few hours of sleep before the flight |

| i hope its as easy as you say it is to get a job. the reason im printing a lot of stuff out is cuz i have the links and info on my home computer. since i wont be taking my computer with me, i wont be able to access a lot of the websites and links i've saved over the months researching positions. |
A slight riff on bulsajo's idea about taking out your hard drive is to buy an external hard drive to easily take all your data with you. With that and a USB cord, I would think you'd be all set at the PC bang. That's what I plan to do.
Costco online has a 160 gigabyte external drive for $140. That should last you awhile. |
You may be hard-pressed to find a PC bang that offers USB access to its computers. Put your bookmark file on a floppy. |

If you like candy, chips, etc. I would go to a supermarket or wallmart and stock up on that stuff...and send it to myself. Of course they didn't have half the stuff in Korea back in '96 - '99 that they do now, so I'm prolly wrong. All I know is that I hated Korean chips, always have, always will. Also, I couldn't find smarties in Korea. They're made in Canada. I love smarties. I love Canada too.
