sure this is highly illegal but does anyone know how to (if its even possible that is) save data streams from the net onto your hardrive? i'm streaming some music and i'd really like to save it as it won't be out here for ages, but is it actually possible?
hmmmmm....
btw, i am working with a pc that runs windows in korean... yes i know its not ideal but hey

p.s do you recommend any of the products yourself? preferably the free ones but i guess i get get my flexible friend out |

For audio, try Audacity. It's free and very useful for what you want.
For Video, I use Camtasia, but it's not freeware. For free, try Streambox VCR. |

just another quick question (thanks for the advice and help so far), but i've begun to use the audacity programme, and i've looked on the help section but its not to hot.
as far as i can see, the programme is recording all the background noise in the room too like a big audio mic and the quality of the stream during playback isn't that good. is there an easy way to improve the quality of playback and only record from the pc, while NOT recording my singing? |

Give streambox vcr a try. It will actually grab the media file and download it to your computer rather than re-encoding it via your sound card. Streambox works with real streams and wma. It's also free. |
