Lets have a protest in front of the Ministry of Education. A big noisy protest. Talk about exploitation and abuse. Do it on a Saturday maybe in 2 months. Add some other entertainment features like music or Korean features like crying in public, or rioting. What say you? |

I didn't get where I am today by protesting! You should
buck up and fly straight! Don't rock the boat! Get in line! |

I'm afraid to protest because the Koreans might make my life difficult. If we try hard we can make an Army TV warning about a "civil gathering". After that, we can go drink beer. |

A mere protest is kind of wimpy by Korean standards.
A more sincere form of Korean protest is to cut off the tip of a finger and write a message in blood.
The most sincere form of protest that I've heard of here is to commit suicide. (Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!)
I would recommend either or both of these. If the President/Ceo of SBS were to start receiving fingers and notes written in blood, he might sit up and take notice. |

Yeouch .....harsh but somewhat true...
come on sing with me....
"We shall over come" "We shall overcome" "We shall overcoooomeeee Someday"
Koom-bye-ya my lord.......
Nice idea but most of us are too self centered to give a damn about our fellow teachers. For fark's sake people many of you complain that other foreigners have the bad taste to hello to you or smile at you.
Don't think this community is ready for solidarity just yet.

I was thinking of standing in Samsung Plaza with a sign that reads, "DO YOU HATE ME?" in Korean. I would hand out leaflets ripping on the Korean media for not tackling the real "illegal teachers" problems, which are:
1. Not checking degrees or backgrounds
2. People working on 6-month tourist visas
3. Immigration allowing multiple renewals of tourist visas
etc.. |

How about a Buddhist monk style protest walk? We take three steps - then stop - then bow down - then stand up - then chug a beer - then take three steps again. We could all throw up on the steps of the MoE. It would be cathartic. |

Can we change the songs to "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap"? It just seems more fitting! |

Let's just have an orgy! I think that sexual tension is at the root of all of this. My place, this Saturday. Guys, you gotta bring a girl. I'll go down to Yongsan and bring a few back. |
