I've had my laptop for over three years. It's not bad - 512 mb of RAM, 1.2 Ghz processor, etc...but lately it seems to be running less smoothly, and it heats up a lot quicker, and I'm thinking it might be time for a newer one.
However I've tweaked this one and have all of the programs on it exactly the way I want it - if I were to get a new one, could I transfer everything that I have on this one to my new one, and keep the same settings for windows and everything else, so that I won't need to go back and tweak everything again?
thanks... |

All you need to do is use the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" which can be found in the 'accessories' folder in your start menu. |

Time to clean the fan, and reinstall windows.
You can always get a new one if you like, though. Laptops seem to have a good resale value. |
