I can't believe after all these years of separation between North and South Korea that they have decided to add electronic monitoring systems and cctv cameras along the DMZ. A little late don't you think?

it's mostly being done as a repercussion of the recent security breach.
someone cut a hole in the fence and walked through.

I am familiar with the 3 holes cut in the DMZ fence. What I was insinuating was that they could have avoided the entire situation in question by implementing these security features in the first place. It all comes back to proper planning procedures that are never put in place until it's too late. This problem-react strategy continually makes this country appear unprepared for anything. Will things ever change?

Better late than never.

What's the problem with adding extra security measures?

They could prove to beneficial.

Electronic monitoring, hmmm? Seems like SKorea is finally starting to shoulder some of the expense of its own defense now that the trip wire has been removed.

As for the pedophile comment, not sure where that came from.
However, you've clearly identified yourself as an angry netizen!

Drakoi, please stop giving apologists a bad name. They deserve more respect than what you are giving them.

(Prediction: Drakoi will probably respond with "Huh? What do you mean I'm calling McNasty an apologist? What are you talking about? Confused ")

I wouldn't be so angry if people here weren't so stupid.

There's a difference between mispelling from a lack of knowledge and mispelling as a stylistic choice. DUUUUUUUUHHHHH. But that is using higher level communication skills, so I realize you don't understand.
