Is it possible to survive happily in Korea without having to knuckle under?

The more foreigners I see brown nosing their directors bottoms, the more I ask myself, will I ever find equilibrium here.

I'm starting to wonder whether I am normal? Shocked

Does anyone else feel the same.

Thanks

and this is not to upset the sensitive!

I have gone to war with every boss I've ever worked under. But its only worth it over things that are important.
Apart from that, keep a polite, cordial, yet distant relationship with the hand that pays you.
There's no point being hostile with your director just to be cool. Be positive.

the key is to really blow sunshine up management's ass, when they do something right, and let them hear about it when they *beep* it up. . .it's like training the children they cater to really. . .

And those who are veritable fountains of smooches for management's collective asses on all occasions; whose constant murmur of "thank you sir, may I have another," has become just more white noise in the office as reliable as the hum of the air-con, or the shuffling of feet; who make the rest of us with balls look like over-aggressive, greed-filled, Korean peninsula conquistadores . . . . . . .

should remember that they have a voice for a reason....to use it! Twisted Evil

Every newbie should read this post and pay special attention to the second sentence. I was always the favorite at my school because I never bitched about the small things. But, the school new all too well that if they fucked with something big, all hell would break loose.
