Anyone ever see this story played out?

Not sure what happened.. but one day recently I was riding in the very last car of the subway. A very old BLIND WOMAN was walking with her music turned up while begging for change. Being the last subway, she hit the back wall.. realizing that the subway wouldn't go any further.. she jumped out of the subway at that next stop (just a few moments after hitting the wall).

The strange part was that an older BLIND MAN was standing in the middle of the platform on this far end of it. The BLIND WOMAN tapped her cane right for him.. ran into him.. and they started chatting.

Then the subway went away.

My questions is as follows:
1) Did they plan that?

One of us (I don't think its me but who knows) must be on crack. I could swear the title of this thread was about deaf people not blind people....

I voted 'no' because I just recently saw this sort of situation unfold. It was, however, a blind man who was at the end of the subway train and when he was getting off, a blind woman was about to get on with her music to go change collecting. Upon hearing the man's cane (or seeing the man), they go on to have a few words. Then the man leaves... and the woman folds up her can and sits down in a squat. My explanation is this: The woman knew that she would have a poor time collecting on that train, so she chose to wait for the next one. I also think that many of those change collectors do know eachother.

from what i know about homeless in my town, and in other places; they kinda team up to get whatever money they can from people then meet up to split it.
so if you're going down the street and see a homeless person & turn the corner and see another, they're probably working together.

i would guess that the bumping into the wall might be an act though. especially if she had a cane.
when you lose one sense the others kick in a lot to compensate, and assuming that she was blind for a number of yrs...
the meeting, i wouldn't know. unless they had cell phones, or they usually met up at that time...
