I'm new to Korea (8 days) and I'm wondering where are the best gyms to work out in, and where are the best clubs for entertainment?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Clubwise..

Hongdae - (Hongik University Station - Line #2)
Lots of drinking and dancing goin ' on - and it's Club Night w15,000 - for admission into a load of bars.. the cold weather might keep some away though.. You'd probably like Hodge Podge or M2

Sinchon -(Sinchon station - Line #2) - more laid back.. "The Bar" or Doors are just good drinking holes... part Brunny/part Peel Pub (especially The Bar - no geriatrics playing organ and singing on stage here though and no stage to dance on but its a good laid back -albeit loud-atmosphere)

Itaewon - GIs abound until about midnight - you'll probably want to hit Limelight or King's club

Apkujeong (Line #3) (richer area) - loads of snobby nightclubs and 8 dollar beers

Gangnam - (Line #2) richer area, nightlife not as lively as Hongik - XXXX is pretty popular..

Limelight in Itaewon.

Also its Club Night (I think this weekend) in the HongDae area (HongDae = Hongik University area). Meaning for around $10 you can go into about 20-30 clubs with that pass. It just happens once a month. Oh yeah, HongDae is a GREAT area to go out in.

some of the more expensive hotels have gyms. Also seen some workout facilities in the saunas and jimjil bangs (mixed saunas, no nudity in the common areas)

If you will be here a while (over 1 month) many gyms will sell a months membership. cost will run 50,000 won and up. There are tons of small gyms in neighborhoods
