I think that he's implying that his own personal recipe that he makes for himself, friends or family, is his favorite. Nothing wrong with that.

Have you tried the Mex place in Songtan...?
Is that any good....??

There's a Messican place in Songtan? Shocked

Yeah, off the main walkway, not the street with Baskin Robbins on the corner but the next one along, kind of like the main side street.
Still never tried it though.

The only mexican food i've had hear is that taco stand that pops up by slimelight. It doesn't taste remotely mexican, but it's got a good flavor of its own.

In Korea, not only do they suffer from a dearth of Mexican people, but it seems like they can't even get the right spices and stuff. All the nachos at the bars are all wrong. They look like they might be good, you know, nice salsa and cheese and sour cream, but you bite in and the spices just aren't there. It's like getting a nice big sandwich and biting in to find imitation crab meat or something other ungodly shyet hidden in there.

It is a little scary isn't it that amongst the best nachos you'll find in country are the instant microwaveable ones that you get in Family Mart.
I have very low standards, but when it comes to that slop, I'd rather eat my balls.

Pancho's sucks. Beaver's Wings nachos and tacos, however, rock. Availability, though, is subject to my whims.

Does this mean there is a new Beaver's Wings or are you just being nostalgic?

If so, tell me where it is and I'll be by later today to test the tacos and nachos...

I think he's just stuck in the past.

I didn't see these earlier.

Beaver's Wings Bar & Grill is gone and Beaver's Wings Restaurant is not happening in a hurry.

But, I still have all the cooking supplies, recipes and some of the equipment that I had back in the days of Beaver's Wings Bar & Grill so I can make Buffalo wings (or orange marmalade, Jack Daniel's, Thai, oak smoke barbeque, two-burner, teriyaki, or chili wings), nachos, tacos, and fish and chips whenever I get the urge.

Ponchos really does suck. We asked for a bloody mary and got a glass of vodka with a shot of tobasco sauce on the side. Guy spends two weeks in Cancun on spring break or something and thinks he's a Mexican chef.

Made quesadillas on last weekend. A layer of refried beans, chicken, cheddar cheese, spices, sour cream, jalapenos, and salsa.
