I have a Korean friend who teaches Korean language for a University. He also has a Masters from an American University. He is interested in starting a class or more in Bundang. I convinced him that we need some "serious" or intensive Korean classes here (more than just one day a week).

I promised him I'd put out some notices to see how many teachers are around this area that might be interested.

Please PM me or post here if you are.

Yeah id be interested, but not at these outrageous prices that they charge at other places.

I have a korean gorlfreind, so I wanna learn more, but for the most part i can learn for free form her anyway.

Id pay around 50 000 a month for say 3 or 4 hours a week.

A class of around ten for that price should be okay money. Thats still 25 000 an hour for a korean. Im not going to line someone elses pocket.

I might have a few others here that are interested.

If memory serves, I was paying about 240,000 per month to learn 3 days (or was it 4?) per week in Kangnam at a language institute.

The going rate for Korean classes in a hogwon seems to be around 5000 per hour.

well.. if you get 4 students which is more than enough..
each pays 10.000 for two hours!
he makes 40.000 for 2 hours work.
NOW! make everyone pay monthly no refunds if you dont show etc..

2 hours a day - 3 days a week.. 6 hours a week.
100.000 won a month.. he still makes 400.000 a month for 6 hours work a week..
this is korea.. so paying ESL prices is just stupid.. doesnt make sense..
so I feel 100.000 a month is a good price..
perhaps your friend is over qualified for this..
