I don't know about Seoul, but here in Daegu there are cash machines conveniently located across from the check out aisles.

For that you need an International ATM. I don't think the ones at Costco are. The nearest International ATM to me is at EMart. Just ask around.

The costco I go to has an ATM that you supposedly can use a foreign card with, and the menu is sorta in English. . The normal bank ATMs generally do have English menus, but don't accept foreign cards. The Nice Cashing ones have worked with my Canuck card in the past, but 'Merican friends have had some trouble with them.

I've gotta ask though, if you haven't put down roots enough to get a local bank account yet do you really need to be shopping in bulk?

im not really buying in bulk, im going there to buy a digital camera. sure, i may be able to get it cheaper elsewhere, but i love Costco's return policy. To me, its worth it to pay more for the satisfaction of knowing that they will take anything back for any reason.

Costco will only accept a Samsung credit card in addition to cash or a Costco credit card.
