There was a thread today that got into the subject of upping one's stats on their website. I would say about one in four or maybe even more of the members here have their own blog, website, board, or something else, so let's share. Even if you think you're the most famous member of the board and everybody and their dog knows about your site you just might be wrong, so introduce it here. That means Blind Willie, Swiss James, Peemil, and all the rest... Wink

I'll start.

I have a Cyworld website: www.cyworld.com/mithridates which gets a lot of hits. You can find Korean lessons there on the Խ.

I have my own board that looks like this one. It's not a rival board but a complementary one. It starts out written in Korean because I'm trying to get all the people from my Cyworld page used to php, but when you register you can choose your display language and then things will be back to normal again, unless you prefer Korean instead. If the site's acting weird then leave it alone for a few minutes and try again. www.mith.dd.vg

I made a Wiki on Wikicities, called simply the Korea Wiki. This isn't owned by me, I just registered it and can ban IP addresses from time to time if need be. I made it because the FAQ section on most php boards is a bit tricky to navigate and there are a lot of old threads there. Plus I never look at that section anyway. http://korea.wikicities.com

I write for the Korean Culture Centre in Australia. It's an on-line news site that just started a month ago. People can be volunteer reporters for the site if they are good enough, and though you don't get paid you get a press card which lets you go places normal people can't go. www.koreainside.info

Those are my sites. What are yours?

http://falsemessiah.proboards23.com

My first year in Korea was rather odd -- Living amongst the followers of a little known international cult provided me with a really cool opportunity to do some research and help some people leave a really nasty yucky cult that does Horrible things, horrible things...HORRIBLE THings to nice people and young girls.

Plus they turned me into a NEWT!!

Mine is http://www.cafeenglish.net
It has a discussion board, chatting, and a blog. The latter is for anyone who wants to blog; register and begin.
Constructive criticism on the sight, board, et all is welcome.

Zenkimchi.com is down for a while.

I changed servers last week, but for some reason, my computer is the only computer that can't connect to MY web site. I'm working with my hosting company, and my girlfriend is working with my local ISP. That's the price of programming a do-it-yourself blog, I guess.

The site (when it's up) has a blog, pics, RSS feeds, a reference section, T-shirts, and lots of videos. It also has "night mode," which is my impression of how Korea totally changes at night.

New features I'm working on:
Recipes - Expanding that section
Teacher Resources - A more centralized location of links for lesson ideas
News Blogger - Similar to www.Fark.com and my other site, www.Zenpickle.com, where members post links to news stories, web sites, and message board threads relating to expats in Korea, adding their own headlines.
Interactive Restaurant and Shopping Guide - Waayyy into the future

Actually, there is quite a few people here that have websites but are worried about the more immature people on this site spamming or stalking them.

I have two. I made this one to learn HTML and to present research from Japanese sources about the Korean language. Unfortunately my work load doubled and it turned out to be an abortive attempt. The other one is my cyworld site.

I had a blog when I was in China on Angelfire and now it doesn't open... maybe just from Korea?

I used to do the daeguguide site...

But my biz site is http://www.cedarsphotography.com and guess what... it has photos! But not many, and I am in the middle of revamping it with the help of my friend Georgy who actually knows how to do all kinds of cool stuff... There is no way for you to leave comments or anything... it's not about friendship, it's about having a showcase for my photos.
