Just curious about what others may think ....
I've noticed more job postings for Kyopos in the past several months.

Is it just me? Or is this a new phenomenon?

Kyopos reading here... I had the impression that in the past, hogwons steered clear of Kyopos in favor of the blonde, blue eyed North American "look"--the unreal look that they think is reality, anyway. What isyour experience? Or are they trying to hire part-timers, etc. I'm not sure if you get the same bennies as other hires (airfare, apartment, guaranteed full time employment).

Just curious....

>. If this is indeed correct, my guess is we can file this possible added attractiveness under the Directors' all-so important categories of "smaller salary" and greater chance of submission to their lordly domination.

I think because Korean-Americans have F4 visa eligability, they need no sponsorship and accordingly no contract with guaranteed hours, thus they are a lot easier to employ. In terms of saleability, people of a non-Korean ethnic origin are still, I believe, more popular to the consumer in the English language service industry, but Korean-Americans are better for flexibility and reducing costs; ideal for the institute starting out.

I get automatic postings for part time work a lot, and most of them are for Kyopos. I assume from that, that they are in demand. If they are fluent in Korean as well as English then I think they have an advantage. It sure helps to be able to translate difficult words into Korean, and to know the culture. I would think that students would eventually be a lot more comfortable with them.
