Has anyone been to watch a soccer game at the world cup stadium in Incheon? How much were the tickets? Which is the nearest subway station? When does the new K-League season begin? Do they play on a saturday or sunday?
If any soccer fans out there could help me out I'd appreciate it.

Try the Football in Korea board Wink

Incheon are one of the pricier teams in the league to watch at around 10k a ticket. I went there three times last year, two games were in the stadium itself (Munhak Sports Complex stop) but they moved all their summer games to the practice ground outside the stadium which was more than big enough for the number of fans who turned up.

The Samsung Hauzen Cup is on at the moment, and Incheon played away at Suwon on Sunday losing 3-0 ( Laughing ) - their next home game is April 2nd against Busan. Games are generally Saturday/Sunday and Wednesday too.

Holyjoe,

Thanks for the info. I'll be based in Incheon so wouldn't mind watching some of their league games.

By the way, do they show UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE games on Korean TV? or would I have to go to a sports bar in order to watch them?

Don't forget that Korean FA Cup giantkillers Korean National Railway, who play in the K2-League (the second division), are also based in Incheon.

They do on ESPN now that they're in the knock-out stages. They also repeat a lot of matches, and have a lot of live Premeirship games.
