Hello, everyone! I have a question for anyone from the United States. I know this might seem appalling, but does anyone know of a good, accredited online college or university for getting a Bachelor's Degree. I currently have an Associate's degree and was wondering if anyone have any ideas on earning a Bachelor's degree besides going back to the US.
Any helpful comments or advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks! |

A website called
http://www.bain4weeks.com
gives you a list of three accredited universities in the U.S. that accept GRE subject, DANTES, CLEP and a couple of other ones to qualify for a B.A. and it also gives you step by step instructions on how to work towards getting them.
The reason for the name is because it shows on the site how a few people studied for exams, wrote successive ones for a month and gained enough credits to get their B.A. in that time.
Just a thought, but again...this site does not endorse fly-by-night diploma mills, but fully regionally accredited universities.
Hope it helps,

I was looking for an online degree for the longest time. There were so many that offered programs that gave you "credentials but not skills", e.g. Hotel Management etc.
I finally found a GREAT University in Canada that is ENTIRELY online in Alberta Canada. Athabasca University. It is a well respected Canadian University. I'm not one of these high minded Canadians but .... almost any Canadian University is well respected in the states as far as I can tell.
You can write the exams at the Canadian consulate in Seoul with a supervisor watching you.

They have all kinds of programs, all online!
I'm paying $1200 CAN for a 6 credit course, to give you an idea of how much it costs. |

Me too. Athabasca is an Open university with an okay reputation, but marginally so as an academic institution.
Instead, get a distance degree with a bricks and mortars university like the University of Calgary's master's in Education. That way your professors will include actual professors who teach classes and the department will have a history of having published academic lit.
IMO.
