This is an article I read.

I feel for these guys, you think we have it bad? They catch it both ways, from North and South.

Ever read "The Aquariums of Pyongyang"?

This North Korean guy, Kang, Chol-hwan, wrote about his experience of escaping from North Korea, via China. He and his family were in a concentration camp for 10 years (Yodok) that still apparently exists. Pretty crazy stuff! Anyways, he talks a little about how weird it was for him to function in the South once he got here. Granted, he got a lot of financial support and things have changed a little (diplomatically) since then, but it's a good, easy (albeit typo-ed) read.
