The latest business craze in servicing the thriving english education industry is starting to emerge in the nooks and crannies of Korea's entrepeneurial spirit. In light of the recent news programs this winter, highlighting the employment of unqualified english teachers, the industry is slowly beginning to rationalize its expectations and working towards a custom solution that will suit the thirst that Koreans have for learning english, plus cater to the fangs that Korean businessmen/school directors who want to exploit and profit from their fellow countrymen's desires, as well as creating a fun and entertaining educational environment for young students to learn in.

"Keeping in line with young Koreans love for fantasy, sci-fi, and role-play, we felt that it would be good to incorporate that into english instruction and establishing rigorous qualifications and training for it.", says, Il-won Kim, president of Jedi Korea. "The Jedi Training program is the evolution of the old hogwan system that preferred to employ unqualified teachers strictly based on looks and ability to sing, dance, play, and for lack of a better word, entertain students. Our Jedi Training schools take 'edutainment' to the next level, training the fine arts of costume design, swordplay, and Star Wars dialogue study." Mr. Kim says that his old exploitative businesses of owning a hogwan, being a recruiter, homestay introduction, in addition to some originality-lacking enterprises, like a PC bang that serves free coffee, or a norae-bang that gives a bonus 20 minutes, after the expiration of their original allotment, was the catalyst for reforming his business thinking. "All the profiteering businesses designed to capitalize from my fellow countrymen were completely saturated. Now, the Jedi Training Schools will open up new doors for me and others." Mr. Kim currently operates a Jedi Academy in Bundang and new one in Yeoido is slated to open next month, with plans to franchise throughout the country.

Will they hire me if I'm from "The Dark Side?"

I mean, they are all excited about hiring me, but after I send a photo, they won't call me back!
