I brought a PS2 with me from Canada, and I'd like to get a chip. I'm a bit outside of Daejeon and I don't speak Korean, though I can take along a phrasebook and a dictionary to wherever I go.

Can anyone tell me where I can go and what I should be looking or asking for, and what prices I can expect to pay?

Thanks.

What kind have you got?

Mod chips for the slimline PS2s don't seem to have reached Korea just yet.

I have the old, bulky type. Saw the slimlines recently, was going to come in and ask about them too, for if I get one when I go home. Thanks.

I don't know about where you are, but you can get the old ones chipped in Yongsan if you come to Seoul at all.

Haven't been there yet, but I can get there easily enough. Thanks. Do you know of a good place? I can't read Korean really, but I could puzzle out directions or ask someone here to help me get there.

I'm told most of the stalls selling games will do it for you, but as I've never found anyone able to mod my slimline I can't give specific recommendations. Perhaps someone else can...
