You need a minimum of 2 for the visa paperwork. You'll also need 2 for the ARC. As with all things concerning Korean immigration, exact numbers vary on the mood of the paperpusher, time of month, and phase of moon.
They've got one of those nice little photobooth boxes at the Osaka consulate if you like to do the Korean thing and leave it to the last minute. |

You need one photo at Fukuoka, but you must have Yen to pay for your visa. They don't accept any other currency.  |

| also change your money BEFORE leaving korea as no bank in japan accepts korean won. or have a cash credit card handy so you can just get yen in a cash machine. |
