Suggested to me by someone in my first thread, I'll repost this here.

I bought the Survival Korean book with the 2 tapes. The elite inkel tape player that came with my apartment ate a tape. I didn't know why the book came with tapes instead of CDs in the first place but anyways...

If anyone has taken the time to record the tape into mp3 files, please let me know. I was finding what I was learning pretty useful. It's what I get for buying tapes I guess. Crying or Very sad

Any help appreciated! Laughing

Not worth another thread, but does anyone know where I can find the transcripts of the Korean Through English series, specifically Book 3? Thanks.

Still no luck with Survival Korean MP3s. Laughing

I happened to recover the tape and fix the tape player... for the time being.

I want to take advantage of this and record the Survival tapes to MP3. I have the Sound Forge program, and the tape player... and obviously my computer.

Do I just need to buy a stereo cable with two male ends, like this one

http://www.weisd.com/store2/CABAUD-1100-06.jpg

and plug one end into the headphone jack of the tape player and the other end into the headphone/speakers jack on the computer? Or is it not that simple?

I could always just play the tape through the tape player's speakers and record with the microphone I have. But of course the quality is poor and you can hear an echo.
