My students are all talking about a big cloud of yellow dust blowing in tomorrow.

Yeah. Rolling Eyes

Ah then we get the rainy season. Best thing about the rainy season: It washes away the vomit and lung butter.

Seriously, I love the rainy season as it cleans up the city. Thank god mother nature does it for free or we would be walking in a foot of dirt and muck and the windows would have an inch of permanent grim on them.

Anyone else coughing, sneezing and rubbing their eyes already? I know the big blast isn't officially due till tomorrow, but my senses seem to be getting a head-start.

And at least it keeps things a bit cooler. And then this added. My GF notes she switches to skirts almost exclusively during the rainy season. I guess she doesn't like rain soaked pants. That's one thing I hate about the rainy season. No matter how big your umbrella is, the rain just drenches your pants.

I have had allergy symptoms lately, actually thought I may be getting a cold. And I have had headaches off and on for the best two weeks...and they don't respond well to pain meds...could that be b/c of the dust?

I can see "forever" out my office window. The air in Daegu is relatively clean today. Last Thursday visibility was down to a few km. This yellow dust is really scewing up my hiking schedule.

My boss warned me today that yellow dust was expected this afternoon. Not sure if it ever came as I stayed inside and near an air purifier at all times. (have one in the classroom and at home) However, it was very windy for a little while today.

I've got a cold, bronchitis, and my asthma is going nuts. When I cough, the extremely strong taste of metal makes gag at times. I hate yellow dust!

It was really hazy over here on this side of town- it became a focus of our morning conversation class. My eyes are burning and my sinuses aren't so happy.

The yellow dust is already here. The haze occludes the skyline. But it will get worse. Damn dead animals in Mongolia!

We had a sneezing contest in my 7th grade social studies class yesterday... at least that's what it seemed like. I think I won. Confused

I've been blaming it on the flaming yellow flowering tree on the hillside about 5 meters from my apartment, but maybe the $&#% blossoms are innocent?!

Whatever it is, the Claritin that I bought in the States over Christmas is NOT cutting it. I'm sneezing and wheezing and my eyes itch so bad I almost wanna claw 'em out.

And I used to love Spring... GRRRRR

If you need something more like Benadryl, it is available in Korea, but you seem to need a prescription to get it. Claritin-type meds are available over the counter (actually contains the same ingredients as Reactine, to be more specific) but they don't seem to cut it when the allergies really get going.

I don't know why but antihistamines like Claritin and Benadryl kick me square in ass.

I remember getting ready go out on a date one fine spring evening a few years ago. My allergies were acting up so i fired back a couple claritins and an ephedra. I remember sitting down on the couch to watch a big grey owl that was perched on a tree in the field behind my house.

4 hours later, the sun had gone down and I was still sitting on that couch staring out the window unable to move, almost catatonic.

Someone could have broken into my house and raped me.

scary stuff

"couple of Claritins" not a good idea. You must have had serious serious cottonmouth as well. Claritin is a one-a-day. Benadryl is two tablets every 4 to 6 hours, and it WILL knock you out if you haven't taken it before, even if you follow the prescribed dosage.
