I live about 5 hours from Seoul....and I feel that if I lived there life would be much easier...I live in a town of about 10,000 people.
Things about my neighbourhood:
Hmm....
1. I wake up to a nice view of the sun coming up over the mountains
2. There are lots of nice trees around now with white and pink flowers.
3. Cute doggies are running around everywhere
4. The air is usually fresh and clean(when someone is not burning trash)
5. The bus station is only a five minute walk from my apt |

Tommynomad, I would be very interested indeed in seeing any photos you might be able to post of 5, 6 and 9. Perhaps not on this thread, but somewhere.
We've got plenty of 1, 3, 7 and 10 around here. 2 would be yet another distraction I can live without. Couldn't be more neutral as to 4 -- utterly take it or leave it. Have frequently thought about 8, but am dead certain it's strictly forbidden and mercilessly punished right around here. There are reasons. Actually, I used to do 8 when I lived (believe it or not) not terribly far from where the King of Daechidong now resides.
Nice list. And I am quite serious the photos.

The best neighborhood I ever lived in had a grand mix of fortune tellers, "ladies of the evening" and churches! It was such a fun place to live...except for the freakin' egg lady who parked in front of my house at 6:30 am on Monday morning!! |

Okay. The first thing that might surprise you about my dong is its size. Really, it's huge. I've heard that some people can measure theirs with a ruler. Well, they must be the sort that hang out at public bathhouses and compare each other. Not me. My dong needs a city map to capture its full dimensions, it's that big. You can even see it from an airplane.
Oh yes, one more thing. My dong isn't just well known at home. It's also internationally famous, and busloads upon busloads of Japanese women make their way up here just to see my dong and take pictures. I let them.
But I don't mean to suggest that Western women haven't enjoyed my dong, because a few of them have as well. They've praised it as "magnificent" and "lovely", and although being from the West and presumably used to such things, they too have commented favourably on the size, especially with respect to the other dongs they've seen hereabouts. Indeed, many have confessed to me that they never dreamt there was a dong like mine in Seoul. That's true.
I'd post pics, but I'm modest and I don't like to show off. |

1. 5 mins. to the ocean.
2. 5 mins. to the countryside
3. great views - ocean, "the mountain", fields and forests, etc.
4. urban enough for convenience
5. "small town" enough to be comfortable
6. clean and quiet
7. good environment for pets
8. not overly expensive
9. good friends live nearby
10. variety is at my fingertips...
That's 10... I'm finished... |

| I've lived in the same small neighborhood in a small city for close to 6 years now. I'm part of the fabric of my community. I get a nice sense of belonging. |
