I love whenever a thread is headed for say... 'samchunpo'!
It's a shame that unlike other stupid ones this thread seemed a bit promissing.
DW. Just drop it. You've been way too Kangnamized. |

Don't misinterpret that. All universities are different and the base salary for 12 teaching hours a week is around the same as hagwon wages for 30 hours. To make that much money you'd have to do overtime in most universities. |

Well, the option is going back home and Canada sucks ass.
Actually, it's because I have a comfortable life here that I don't think I could duplicate it back home. |

The money and working time are certainly better than what i would get back in Canada, but I think the reason I stay is just the fact my life is more exciting and busier here.
In Canada, I found myself often bored. Things tend to shut down after 6 especially in the winter. ...in Korea my life is more active. |

| Back on topic, are we? For me, it's a matter of deferred gratification: the woman I love, the land we've bought, the house we're building--- in Thailand. Money saved here makes it possible to live a life of quality there, hopefully soon. |

Then you have to live under Roh Mu Hyun who says that Koreans are too pro American.
Somehow I don't see that as a gain for you. |

Yes I know you are into your own colon. Maybe that is what happens when get beavers become rabid.
You are clueless
But anyway I can't see how someone could be better off being under the control of a foreign govt than they would be under there own government.
Even if you hate Bush does any anyone think they would be trusting their fate to a leader who has no interest or obligation to protect their interests?
No Moo Hyun has no interest or responsibilty to represent the interests of foreingers in Korea. INdeed it is his job to put the interests of Koreans over those of foreigners
You are Canadian so it would be fair for you to say that you would rather live under No Moo Hyun than Bush.
But thecase is different there cause he is American
But I would rather trust my fate Dennis Kuchich any liberal who was president than I would to a foreign president, simply because the US president is obligated to put my interests over those of nationals of other nations.
I am not talking about living in a foreign land, I am just talking about under whose rule would you rather be.
I do realize by now the thread is going in a different direction and for that I am sorry. |
