| The definition of the Chinese term, , is anyone who lives outside China or Singapore or Taiwan or Hong Kong. It doesn't matter whether you have the citizenship of your country of residenc or not. I believe Kyopo has the same meaning. |

You're a Gyopotpourri. There should be a stamp on your passport which says that Harry. |

Yes, I'm sure "some" Korean men confided with you. Who gives a flying F what they think? Really? Personally, I'd be disappointed if all Korean men liked me. It means I'm not screwing enough of their women. |

Well, you have dorks like Itaewonguy who harp on how hated we gyopo men are. I'm not saying there is no animosity towards gyopo men, but it's NOWHERE near as bad as he describes it, and obviously, he needs to get out of Itaewon more than once every ten years. |

| i'd be interested to hear more about the gyopo experience from a female point of view. amongst the bickering back and forth, which is between the males as per usual, i wonder what the experience is for women? |

These are my observations so far:
1. Korean men LOVE gyopo women.
2. Gyopo men generally like Korea more than gyopo women. |

WHO died and made you ruler of all KYOPOS!!!??
dude you talk as if what ever comes out of your mouth is the way it is!!
listen boy!! I have been here 8 years, I have MANY kyopo friends!
and this is what I have been told from KYOPOS!
DUDE!! I know KOYOPS who HATE KOREAN MEN!!
they think they are the biggest tossers around! and they will not be seen dead with them.,.. they are even embarressed to be korean when they see them.. SO OF COURSE ITS VICE VERSA!!!!at times.. jeeezzzz..
I attend the Korean American camber of commerce parties often.
I have been drinking with korean men and heard them trash Korean American GUYS! guess you were not hear when YOO SUENG JOON was around!
I have been with my kyopo friends when Korean native guys have come over to our table and told them to STOP Speaking English or they are gonna kick their ass back to USA! of course my friends said.. why dont we go outside and lets see if you can!! and a huge fight broke out!
I have seen documentaries filmed by korean broadcasting systems showing how Kyopos are perceived through the eyes of native Koreans!
NOW CHEEM and YA YA! if you want to debate this I will happily debate this until the cows come home!
unfortunately for you two.. you both have no attack! you are both responding with completely different issues to which have been addressed!
so you are only making fools of yourselves!
now I will repeat myself one more time for you two crack heads!!
SOME or many Kyopos are not liked by NATIVE KOREAN MEN!!!
for reasons such as..
I am not talking about the ones who are liked ok!!
A: they were given an opportunity to live and study abroad, and they wasted it, now they come back here and try to take jobs from locals!
B: they come back here and want to be treated like locals when it benefits them! but they refused to go to the military! or use the proper customs if they dont want.. they will just play the Greencard!!
c: many korean native men feel little inferior with them.. they speak fluent English and many also speak Korean..
d: Koreans see kyopos who returned to korea as failures! they couldnt make it abroad so they had to come back here to get work or they are running away from crime or something abroad.. this was shown on the SBS doco!!
e: Korean men think kyopos think they are all soo cool.. becuase they speak English and act like they all that!! Korean men dont like that!!
also korean men dont like it when Kyopos cant speak English! they get real upset!!
guess you havent been to hongdae and seen the majority of fights from koreans are always KYOPOS!! korean natives know this!!!
just as they know about GI'S!!!
only you dont want to accept it.. you are in denial...
NOW CHEEM and YA YA BOY!!
these are what I have experienced living in Korean for 8 years..
I have been around many koreans, kyopos, natives to hear enough stories!
now I never said ALL KYOPOS OK!! some!! if not many..
now.. you need to face the facts that you are not SPECIAL!!!
and your SHIT STINKS just like the rest of us here..
now.. many Korean MEN also hate Foreigners!! dont they??
YES OF COURSE THEY DO!! im sure everyone on this board will agree with me.. even the ones who dont like me..
you see ya ya boy and cheem.. there will always be haters out there!!
DEAL WITH IT!!!
I am not putting down KYOPOS! I told you many of my best friends here are KYOPOS! I just telling you they are not all liked as you think they are!
now if you want to debate me and show me that Kyopos are not hated but loved by all.. please be my guest!! I will really love to see how you present your arguement! becuase if you can prove to me that KYOPOS! are loved by all.. I will shut up and retire..
goodluck... |

You're starting to sound a bit shrill, dude. Calm down. I went out of my way to stress that I was expressing my own observations when I said, "These are my observations so far". Are you going to tell me now that you know my observations better than I do? Also, I've twice acknowledged the fact that there are people out there who don't like gyopos, so I'm not quite sure who you're arguing with. Looks like you need to brush up on your reading skills, on top of your more obvious writing deficiencies.
This thread started with someone asking about the "Kyopo experience", to which various people have made contributions. Meanwhile, here you are howling and stamping your feet about how Korean men hate gyopos. So who's right and who's wrong here?
I confess I didn't finish reading your previous post, so I'll leave it at that. |

Itaewon Guy, sounds like your talkin about L.A. gyopo's for the most part. those that I have met are a different breed all together . I dont think its fair to clump all gyopo's together.
As far, as female gyopo's: some don't care too much about the gong-ju like attitudes of the korean females out here (annoying is more like it).
people takin this way too personally. Every clique or group has morons in them (quota to fill). I'll even admit that there may be a few bad seeds comin outta Toronto. |
