Never. I leave it all to my industrious husband - whose cooking is just getting better and better with every attempt. YUM! |

I picked up some Chorizo style sausages at Cost co last week and just made up a big batch of Jambalaya damn i'm good
I also showed my students how to make rice. I filled up the rice cooker and instead of water I used 1/2 water and 1/2 tomato juice and threw in some pepper and a couple of chicken oxo cubes. They were all "oh my god! Teacher babo!" "NO NO NO"
They ate it all and loved it. They just dont think outside the box. |

Where do you get decent Tomato juice, or do you just use the standard sweetened Korean kind. |

i recently realized that i spend too much $$$ on food. i tend to wait until i have absolutely no food. by the time i walk into a grocery store, i am like a maniac starving and craving for food.
i decided to stop this crazy routine and to go buy fresh food whenever i need them.....every 3 or 4 days....
i started doing this last week....and so far so good. i don't splurge any more and end up with lots of unnecessary food. i started cooking too! no fancy meal yet, but i can handle stir-fried yakisoba or spicy tuna kimbab. pretty easy to make....
no, i did not watch oprah show or dr. phill. i just thought i could save some money for my summer trip. |

2 times a day, except on sundays, which is once. My wife and I go out for korean food maybe once or twice a month, or to a western restaurant once a month. After being here a wee while, im pretty much over korean food, which doesnt rate highly on my fav list. No offence intended. But after a year of tracking down all the ingrediants i need for a fulfilling weekday menu, im now happy as larry, and larry is always happy. Sure, there always times we don't feel like it, but a quick pasta or stirfry takes little time and prep. Anyway, have now bought (or smuggled, depending on which way you look) all the kiwi meal helpers my girl could fit into her handluggage, so we are now decked out with food from the homeland! also managed to get in, basil seeds, oregano, parsley, coriander etc, now ive got my herbs back, im sorted! |

I cook twice a day.
Usually something simple.
Rice and beef portions with some mushrooms or brocolli is a popular one lately for me.
I have lots of meat in the freezer.. and the rice cooker always has rice in it. As breakfast, sometimes rice with the kim seaweed paper.
My meals take less than 5 minutes to make:
a) Pan with oil. Beef portions with mushrooms goes in the pan. Cooked in less than 5 minutes.. take a scoop or of rice out of the rice cooker, and dinner is served! |

Harin, do you have a son? my bad. the first time i read your message i thought you were referring to your boyfriend/husband.
well, we order out a lot coz my wife works late. i'm not much of a cook so my kid loves famous amos cookies, oreos, chic choc chocolate chip cookies, chocolate pudding cups, jelly beans, snickers chocolate bars and chocolate or strawberry ice cream usually after the pizza, big macs, deep fried chicken or foot long hotdogs we often have for dinner.
hope this helps. |

how do you truly know that? you never had 1!
look, harin, i've seen your picture. you're a babe. you'll be cheating the world out of the cutest baby ever if you remain self imposed barren.
if you'd like, i'll meet up with you and knock you up? i'll even spring for dinner and a flick, too? |
