Yes, I got both yesterday.
When I got here a couple of years ago, it was hard to find brocolli, and then a little bunch of it cost 4000-5000. Now it is readily available, and the same amount goes for 1,500, more or less. The beans yesterday were expensive- 1,480 per 100 grams! Thats more than pork! But I bought them. I'll steam them ever so slightly with a little salt, and savor every morsel!
Now, when EMart starts carrying fresh herbs like cilantro and basil. . .
On the other hand, of course, these things are just signs of further Westernization- a process I am more than a bit ambivalent about. |
