Ok..just post a random picture you like, maybe one a day.. and say why..could be anything: and vote for the best picture so far.

takes you to another time..pristine clean streets, sharp light..so European. I wonder what lives the people (subjects) in the picture led...its like a fairy tale.

De nachtwacht, Rembrandt.

Left an impression on me when I saw it at the rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Its such a huge painting, covering an entire wall.

I also liked that large one at the start, which they said was more famous in its time than the Night watch. I'm a little foggy now, but it was men in some kind of meeting. Maybe I'll post the pic later.
